A little more about "Me"
School days
Having got my first taste of computers when my best mate introduced me to his Zx-Spectrum back in the Mid-80's (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) was enough to get me well and truly hooked. For the next few years I was introduced to Apple Computers (MacPlus & Mac IIse) through where my Dad worked Burns Phillp, PNG)) and also for the first time in school in Papua New Guinea in '88, then in '90 I was given the chance re-startup the school computer club, I was in my element and enjoyed helping fellow students as well as getting practice at playing space invaders on mostly DOS based PC's
College Days
Trained in one of UK's top 3 Colleges. Norwich City College - Credit in Computer Studies - 3rd in class, this course I've learnt covered A+ Course subjects and much more.
Working Career
My first ever job was working as Service Tech (Servicing computers, printers (so you could say I'm going back to what I loved and was good at!). Over the 30 plus years I've been in IT, I have worked for top class company's in various positions, including Group IT Manager, Repair Engineer, Systems & Remote Desktop Analyst, Point Of Sale, Test Engineer, Wintel and Exchange Engineers. But out of all those positions the one I favor the most was Servicing, getting out into the countryside, meeting both old and new customers. Getting to know their working environment and making a commitment to have their computers as clean as they can be to work smoothly everyday.
Future Prospects
As with most things I'm always learning new things in IT, new fixes, new technologies and skills. But never forgetting where I started and what I've learnt from fellow IT Professionals over the years, to help me go forth and concur. Always love a new challenge!
